Mentat Works makes native software in two areas: analytical tooling for security and risk professionals, and apps for what people do in their own time. What the two share is how they are built — everything runs on the device, encrypted, with no cloud service in between.

Security risk analysis, from structured assessment to a report that survives scrutiny.

An analytical platform for security consultants, operators and auditors. Model zones and assets, work through a structured question catalogue, weigh threat against vulnerability and consequence, and produce a report that holds up in front of a board. Methodology follows ASIS SRA; findings map automatically against 33 laws, standards and frameworks — among them BSI IT-Grundschutz, ISO/IEC 27001, NIST SP 800-53, the German KRITIS umbrella act and the physical pillar of NIS2.

Capture happens wherever the assessment does — on an iPad during a walkthrough, or at a desk on macOS. Everything stays local: the database and photographs are AES-256 encrypted, faces and licence plates are blurred on capture, and no account or network connection is required at any point.

Equipment, paperwork and trips, kept in one place.

Hunting is an equipment discipline with a legal file attached. HuntKit keeps firearms and interchangeable barrels, trip planning, import and border checks, packing lists and maintenance schedules together, so the answer to what you own, what you may take where, and what is due for service is one place rather than four.

Made for people whose time off comes with a legal file attached — and who would rather that file stayed on their own phone.

How we build

Three commitments

The computation stays with you

No cloud requirement, no account, no tracking. A security finding on a critical site and a record of what firearms someone owns are sensitive by nature. Neither needs to be anywhere but the device it was entered on.

The rules are part of the product

Both products encode the regulation of their field — security standards and frameworks in one, weapons and import law in the other — so that using them produces evidence rather than notes.

Native, and honest about limits

Written for each platform rather than wrapped. Where a feature depends on hardware or jurisdiction, we say so plainly instead of implying coverage we do not have.
